ABOUT US

Shimizu Flowers, Hastings, was founded by Mao Bramall in 2005. Her goal was to provide simple, stylish flowers of the highest quality. 

Mao grew up in her family’s flower shop, Shimizu Flowers in Japan, which is now run by her little sister Rio.

Mao's passion and talent for designing with flowers was inherited from her grandfather and mother, who is an Ikebana (traditional Japanese arrangement) teacher.

Mao studied at the Constance Spry Flower School, and after working as a florist for 10 years, opened Shimizu Flowers in Hastings.

"We are proud to be independent and passionate about providing all of our customers with amazing flowers," says Mao. "Every bouquet or display is created with love and a focus on quality, originality and style. We don’t mass-produce bouquets: each arrangement is created especially for you."
